Article Women and weight training, toning, etc

Thank you for this! I never talk about toning. I lift. I have never looked like the hulk - just a fit, slim woman. I still have curves, but have gained nice definition in my arms, shoulders, back and abs. Go ahead ladies and lift some weight - you will not get bulkyunless you combine it with...

How Do You Kill a Craving?

This sounds like pretty straight forward cognitive behavioral techniques that are used by therapists to address a number of different ways of "ineffective" coping. It's no surprise that this would be effective for eating, given that eating is so closely tied to emotions. Behind this method is a...

    Running Program

http://www.events.runningroom.com/hm2/ Follow this link for a number of different training programs. I have followed one of the Running Room's distance training programs for a half marathon and found it to be really effective.

I use my sex appeal to get ahead at work

I would much rather live with integrity and focus on my intellectual and relational assets than on sex appeal. I work in a field dominated by women so sex appeal wouldn't get me that far anyways. Walking: Exercise

I am the kind of person who can't walk without a purpose. I know this about myself. I have one speed and that is "go, go, go." I like to run and feel much more invigorated than if I walk. I also struggle with yoga. Maybe this is exactly why I should do it?

When Is The Best Time To Do Cardio?

I think that the best time to cardio is whenever YOU are most likely to do it. I do it at lunch because I need to mental break and to recharge my batteries. If I leave it until the evening I am drained and drag my butt through it. If I plan it for the morning I am crabby...I am not a morning...

    anyone tried P90X?

I had excellent results with P90x. I have done 5 rounds of it to date and am just waiting on P90x2 to arrive in about a week. I would suggest swapping out some of the cardio though as some of it is not very challenging. I combined it with Insanity, Asylum and training for a half marathon.

    Parkour

Has anyone here tried this? http://www.parkour.com/ It looks crazy intense, but I worry that I am not coordinated enough to pull it off. Would love to hear more about personal experiences.
