Borders' store at Wheelock Place to close for good

Borders' flagship store at Wheelock Place will close for good, ending days of speculation over the bookstore's fate.

It has been ordered to move out of the Orchard shopping mall by next Tuesday and will be holding a book sale to clear its stock soon.

Its Parkway Parade branch, however, remains open and in business.

Contrary to earlier reports, the bookstore had not owed rent for two months, a press release sent by its appointed judicial manager stated.

I always liked Borders more than Kino though. Cosy feeling ):

Kino's book inventory seems way larger than Borders'. It is amazing that kinokuniya is still doing well, given that they also do not wrap up most of their books.
