I always exercise the first thing in the morning. If I postpone exercising, generally it will be postponed till the next day. Always do something you enjoy like walking, riding a bicycle or hiking. When you look forward to your routine you are more apt to stay with it. Why not turn on some music and do some exercises at home, when outdoors is too cold or rainy. You don't need a gym to stay in shape. I have weights, a jumprope and heavy ball that I use everyday. Sometimes I just do a few series of jumping jacks.

If more people would see it the way you do, there would be many more fit people around :D

I think we have to look at exercising like we do brushing our teeth. Make it an integral part of our daily routine. I have to boast a bit, I am the same size as I was in my early twenties. People who exercise daily often take care of other aspects of a healthy lifestyle.

i confess i'm usually too lazy to exercise the first thing in the morning. The fatigue feeling usually kills off urges to exercise

It does not matter what time of day you exercise. Everyone works on a different clock. Maybe exercising at night works best for you.

Thanks for the link. However, if you are just exercising to stay fit I still think it is a good idea to work out at your most energetic time. As the day goes on I tend to get less ambitious.

The morning is probably my worst time to workout because I am usually slow and still tired :D. I tend to stay that way for awhile. Usually I get really active around dinnertime and that is when I workout. I read somewhere you are most energetic physically about 8-12 hours after you wake up or something. I guess it applies to me but probably not everyone.

I am a morning person. Around 6AM, I already out of bed and have a 30-minute brisk walking exercise around the neighborhood. Since, I have other household chores to attend to and taking care of my nephew, so I think morning benefited me a lot. Responsibilities motivates me to wake up in the morning and got used to it.

I am also lazy to do workout or even some simple exercises in the morning.:p
I would usually just relax or open my computer and wait until it was lunch time already. I prefer doing some exercises at night before going to bed. It will help me fall asleep easier. I usually do some stretches and crunches at night.
