I was cleaning out my room the other day, stumbled across this piece of article (Grossology was an exhibit at the Singapore science centre in 2001, 10 years ago!). Some of the points are kinda shocking!

1. Hydrochloric acid in your stomach is so strong that it can eat up stainless steel razor blades.
2. Your large intestine is about 1.5 meter long.
3. Every day you make 1-2 litre of urine. The amount depends on how hot it is outside, what you eat and how much you drink
4. You swallow about one litre of snot every day.
5. Earwax coats the inside of the ear canal to trap any nasty stuff like dirt, dust and bugs that get into your ear. People who live in big cities make more earwax.
6. The skin is the largest organ of the body. You shed skin every day to produce a whole new layer of skin every 28 days.
7. About ten billion tiny scales of skin rub off your body every day. In a lifetime, you could fill eight 2.5-kilogram flour bags with dead skin.
