A group of hackers calling themselves LulzSecurity (or Lulzsec), known for hacking into PBS and Sony's internet assets, threatens to bring down Facebook on Nov 5 this year. They posted a video 'threat' on YouTube as a warning to all Facebook users.
Lulzsec has already claimed responsibility for several high-profile cyber attacks, including one that targeted the CIA website and another that alleged the death of media mogul Rupert Murdoch on 18 July this year.
Police in London recently announced the arrests of two teenagers whom they allege are LulzSec members, as part of their ongoing investigations against the group, who have been branded 'cyber terrorists' for their actions.
