My husband underwent a surgery for diverticulus last week. But the doctor told me he's developing a kidney stone too. At the moment the kidney stone is still quite small; just 3mm in size. I forgot to ask him how many stones there are. I assume there's only one since the doctor didn't seem concern about the stone. Is there a way to disintegrate a kidney stone naturally without going for surgery? I would really appreciate any answers because this is the fourth time that my husband has gone for surgery and I don't know how many times his body can stand being under a surgeon's knife.:help:

Thank you for the link. I've read that there are two types of stones - one is made up of oxalates and the other of uric acid. I don't know which type is my husband is suffering from. The doctor didn't seem too concerned about his kidney stone. My husband has had his gall bladder removed a few years ago because of gallstones so I'm so afraid that his kidney stones would also get worst and cause him to go under the knife again. How many times can a person be cut up before the body gave up? His diverticulus surgery is his fourth surgery.

Drinking lots of water and other fluids like juices could help.
In here, coconut water is famous and known to cure or dissolves kidney stone. I also think that avoiding salty foods could help get rid of kidney stones naturally.

I've heard that drinking lots of water can help in dissolving kidney stones. I have suggested to my husband to drink more plain water but he's not very keen on plain water. He likes his beverages with sugar and milk. Plain water is not something that he would drink on its own. He would drink plain water when he eats his lunch or dinner but at breakfast he wants his "teh tarik".
