Just how much money are you using?

Since there's no actual discussion going on, I'll be the first to start one.

As many of you know, other than your basic protein powder (whey), there's no actual necessity for you to use your money on other rather non-essential supplements (creatine, NO2, whatever else is being marketed right now in the industry), especially if you're not a competitive athlete in whichever areas that may be of concern.

So just a show of hands, how many of you are actually guilty of buying more than what you really need despite the lack of an actual planned diet?

Edit : Also, to keep things relevant to this sub-forum, i'm quite curious as to how many of you actually train a body part a week

I am actually "guilty" of taking creatine. Hehe. It is like a miracle drug for me - mainly allowing me to increase reps for work sets. I also take casein and various muti vitamins. But creatine, to me, is the most "powerful" supplement.

regarding the second question, depending on your priorities, training one body part a week can be too time consuming.

Right now I try to divide individual sessions of squats, deadlifts and benches between a 1-2 week time frame - depending on my schedule. I'll slot a rotation of various leg and back exercises in between those big lifts workouts.

Wah u all sound so clean compare to me.. I tried NO2 before. but dont see any result.. so i stop taking it and wasted almost 2 full bottles of it.

Tried creatine too, but not very serious, in term of following the stages. just take it with my protein shake for awhile. It helps abit but not alot. I only reaslise the result when i stop taking it. that i couldnt do as much.

Then I tried taking those fat burner (Nutrex Lipo 6). I dont feel it helps me to lose fats but actually helps me to perform better and more focus. So Im taking it as a for performance/ strength, and only take it(1-2pill) whenever I hit the gym. just to make sure i really work hard when i gym.

Canned tuna can be effective to "supplement" daily protein and fat needs. It is handy and portable to lug around. But it can cost more than powder supplements.

NO2 is nitric oxide - it's usually used as a pre-workout supp to improve performance. it's natural function in the body itself is to promote muscle growth and vascularity (your vein-ish look). NO also contains L-arginine, a common amino acid, which of course helps to repair muscle

the performance and focus comes from other compounds within the pill itself. the only prominent fat burner i've ever seen or come across was hydroxycut hardcore, until some retard damaged his liver probably from abuse of hydroxycut products, leading to them re-formulating their products.

i actually feel that fat burners are rather 'fail', as it almost always leads to misuse by a lot of ignorant consumers. sooner or later we're gonna become pretty much like the American society - ' It is the Americans who are so
rigid , not us – they want fast foods, fast formulae and fixed programs that
are easy to apply ' as quoted by a Russian professor.
