Lao ban soya

This soya beancurd is madly popular. You need to call the store owner 2-3 days in advanced to RESERVE your soya beancurd. His shop opens in the afternoon around noon and closes in a few hours because everything sell out so fast. It's crazy but the taste is good. It's at old airport road.. if anyone goes by there, be sure to check it out

There are two flavors, the original ($1.50) (cutely called “老花” (presbyopia) punning on the word “豆花“) and almond($2) (or “老仁” (old people) punning on 杏仁).

What really intrigues me is the picture you selected to be posted here would be an empty container. Shouldn't it be showing their soya goodies?

oh BTW, i went to singapore expo the other weekend, the coffee shop on the ground level next to the carpark sells a soya beancurd pretty similar to lao ban soya.
i talked to the shop owner and she said smth about her studying the old airport road version of the beancurd and spent 2 weeks trying to emulate it. hahaa
the packaging and taste is pretty similar

tried this soya last week after reading about it here.

it's unique, don't have a sugar syrup feeling. the sugar and the soya seems to be well blended together

Yup. It was in a non plastic packaging. The tau huay in the photo is "custard" or something. It's like a special version, the packaging is sooo similar to the Lao ban soya!
