There are little changes you can make in your life that can help improve your fitness.

Does any of these descriptions below, fit you? (Note: Applies to those below 60 years old)
1] I have slouched posture.
2] I have weakness in my lower back.
3] I can't remain on my feet for no longer than 30 mins before I need to take a seat.
4] I believe that movements like full squatting, jumping or lifting a furniture will immediately cause myself injury.
5] I avoid the sun, and carry an umbrella regardless of whether it is raining or not.
6] I seldom take the stairs, I use the escalators or lifts 98% of the time.
7] Machines that help me "burn fat" seems very ideal and tempting for me.

What if I tell you that you can CURE all the above with a few simple actions?

Now, the reason why you have the following symptoms above, is mainly due to the fact that you have been physically inactive for quite a while and thus, your body have adapted to the point that it has become lazy and weakened.

Human bodies are made to move, and get some sunlight as well. And if you don't give it that, it will just wither, weaken and spoil! Human beings are very adaptive creatures. You give it inactivity, and you will lose whatever that have been idle. If you choose to live life in such a way, you will find that you will be increasingly dependant on technology to live your life.

DON'T LET THAT HAPPEN to you.

So what can you do to make changes now to improve your fitness and well-being?

1] Get outdoors more often and move more often.
2] Ditch the umbrellas unless you really need them.
3] Stand in the bus and MRT and give up your seats to those who REALLY NEED IT MORE. Eg; Physically handicapped and disability, very old people who have trouble walking, the injured, pregnant women, and very tired people who really needs to take a seat to rest. Why stand? For a start, you'll burn more calories than seated (Better than nothing), and you will also need to straighten out your posture by standing, especially if you have been seating 8-10 hours a day (I'll be blunt: I'm talking especially to those office people and tai-tais who ironically wishes to lose weight).

*Of course, you have to start making these changes and progress slowly as you become more active. If you've been sedentary, your body is in a weak state - You have to give your body time to adjust to more physical activity as it gets healthier.

*Just by applying these simple rules, you don't need MORE machines to help you keep in shape. Once these rules are applied, it will be a LIFE-LONG change for you. You'll save future money on unnecessary spendings (on slimming pills, surgery, etc), and most importantly - it is a natural thing to do for yourself as a human being.

Treat your body well, my friend!

Nope, I'm referring to those who uses umbrellas to cover themselves from the sun all the time. These people need more sunlight. Some sunlight on their skin is good for them.

If possible isnt it important that we shield ourselves frm harmful UV rays? Sun block, shades, etc.

I read before many dangers of UV ray exposure. Just kinda lazy to actually take effort to protect myself hahaa.

Australians suffer the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Each year, around 1,200 Australians die from what is an almost totally preventable disease. Everyone can develop skin cancer; however, some people may be at higher risk than others, due to a range of factors.

Australia exposed to more UV

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation levels in Australia are higher than in Europe, even during summer. Being located close to the ozone hole over the Antarctic means much higher, more severe levels of UV radiation get through to ground level.
Really in depth UV ray article I found:

The Ozone Hole-Ultraviolet Rays-UV rays

All the more we must avoid the sun Whenever possible!

I feel that the only people who should be worried about this issue is long term/enthusiastic desert trekkers.

The main problem is, some people use that as an excuse to avoid every bit of the sunlight. Some sunshine on your skin is good. Excessive isn't healthy, neither is no sunlight at all, healthy. People should not COMPLETELY avoid daylight, that's unhealthy.

If you guys don't understand what Glen means, allow me to give you an analogy.

People carrying umbrellas walking around when the weather doesn't seem very much of a threat(cloudy, sunny, whatever).

Our ancestors have been under the sun for ages. I highly doubt that NOW would be the time we'd actually be afraid of UV rays. If you're actually serious about avoiding the sun whenever possible I strongly suggest that you need to change that mentality.

You don't see water sport athletes complaining about skin cancer anyway. This is nothing more than a state of mind in my opinion and an excuse for whatever else that may be in the picture - going out in the afternoon for a jog, swimming outdoors et cetera.

Yep I also thinking we shd be not overly paranoid about sun rays. Some sunlight is definitely beneficial. But if you are spending much time daily under the sun or are usually under the sun during peak noon hours then you should apply some form of skincare products to protect your skin :) we have all heard much about the degenerating negative effects of the sun on your skin.
