I would recommend a Non camera Nokia e51 combined with the third gen iPod touch. Install joikuspot on the e51 and together with a mobile data plan, u can turn your e51 phone into a router whenever u need it. The iOS platform is fantastic for surfing the web and other miscellaneous online stuff like Facebook. Both products are no longer in production but u can buy them from second hand shops or online forums where people may sell them.

The other option would be getting a non camera blackberry. This is a one device solution. However I find the blackberry's Internet browsing capabilities inferior to ios's.

To add on, the Nokia e51 has surfing capabilities of up to 3.5G. The design is slim and robust, making it an ideal army phone.

Hi jusclickaway, the surfing ain't all that BAD on a bb. The physical technical differences such as scroll wheel separates both the bb and iPod touch Internet experience. On the iPod touch u get a less barred experience - u can rapidly swipe, scroll and, flip thru pages with a flick of a finger. On the blackberry the experience is different but not necessarily an inferior one. It really depends on ur taste. I feel the all in one package is a good idea. Nowadays the blackberry packages offered by our service providers are pretty worth the buck too...

Btw GymKaki can detect your mobile device and will automatically load a mobile skin for better usability. It works well on both the blackberry and iPod touch. The only complaint I got till now is issue of forum columns not displaying beautifully on the third party browser opera for the blackberry. The default blackberry browser can render the mobile skin well.
