I occasionally suffer from back pain. When I ignore my posture or when I lie down in a certain way or when I bend my body instead of squatting to pick up something, my back will cause me such excruciating pain. The doctor just prescribed me pain killers. He advised me on the proper way to sit and sleep and to pick up things without bending my body. When the pain hits me, it's so difficult to walk. But the pain will go away after I've rested.

Ouch! @UmiNoor is it due to a past injury? Or a prolonged time in a bad posture?
I don't know if the motor vehicle accident I experienced in 2003 may have contributed to the back pain because before the accident, my back didn't give me any problem. And it's only since a few years back that I'm experiencing back pain. It could also be because of my sedentary lifestyle. I'm a stay at home mom so I get very little exercise. And my weight kept going up. It could be because of my weight too. Perhaps my legs cannot support my weight and therefore place some strain on my back. The doctor didn't say what may have caused my back pain. He just advise me to be careful when sitting and picking up objects.
