A VIDEO poking fun at Singaporeans has cost a Chinese national his place at a local school. Mr Wang Peng Fei, a 24-year-old who was in his final year studying hospitality full-time at the East Asia Institute of Management, was expelled after the comments he made in Mandarin during the four-minute video constituted to "gross misconduct" by the school. Despite apologising on his blog on Sunday, Mr Wang also had his student visa cancelled and will not receive a refund for this year's course fees, which amount to $10,000, because the act violated a clause in his contract.

More in The New Paper today (July 26).

Temasek Review is just one of the medias Tan Jee Say approached to promote his Presidential Campaign campaign. Some of the other medias TJS used are Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Temasek Review also provides netizens with an alternative view of local politics to PAP's censored media, SPH newspapers & CNA news reports. Here are 2 articles which weren't published in local newspapers:

Police dragging their feet over Tin Pei Ling’s case « Editorial « TEMASEK REVIEW EMERITUS

Singapore to recruit another 60,000 Indian PMETs in 2011 – Times of India « Editorial « TEMASEK REVIEW EMERITUS

These are articles which would upset Singaporeans, obviously.

PRC ‘talent’ Wang ‘fled’ Singapore right under the police’s nose « Editorial « TEMASEK REVIEW EMERITUS

Taken from the last paragraph of the above article:
Had the above 2 PRC ‘talents’ been native Singaporeans, the police would probably have deployed 30 police officers, 5 police cars, 4 riot vehicles and several sniffer dogs to ensure that they are taken to task, even if its for a few traffic summons (tic).

Finally one good thing in this country, I mean global place. Singapore is not a country, it is a phantom identity. There is nothing to being a citizen as we know it.
