Run & Raisin’ [31 Mar 2012]

Started in 2011, Run & Raisin' is an annual charity event organised by TOUCH Young Arrows (TYA). It includes a charity run, along with a carnival where the net proceeds raised will benefit TYA clients and their families.

In 2011, we managed to raise more than $100,000 successfully due to our sponsors, and all the supporters who came down for the run or carnival.

This time, we aim to raise $225,000 to meet the needs of TYA's 400 children and families, increase public awareness of TYA's work in the community, as well as promote family bonding and a healthy lifestyle.

The funds raised will go a long way in helping us support our weekly programmes and year-round events with the children.

About Run
This year’s run will be held on 31st March 2012. The run will start and end off at the field beside East Coast Park carpark E2 (near the food centre). Participants will run along the route towards the National Sailing Centre and make a loop back to the carpark. For more information on the run route, please refer to the route maps here.

Flag off timings are as follows:

1. 8.00am - 10km Open (Competitive)
2. 8.30am - 5km Fun Run (Non-Competitive)

Participants are strongly encouraged to come at least half an hour before their designated flag off for their own preparation.
Competitive runners (10km) will have to wear the number bib and iTag timing chip on the race day. The timing chip will register three checkpoints which are:

1. Start of race checkpoint
2. Midpoint checkpoint
3. End of race checkpoint

Run Category 1 pax 4 pax
5km Fun Run (Non Competitive) S$30 S$110
10km Open (Competitive) S$40 S$150
