The annual marathon race is upon us again in Singapore. If you have signed up for the race, you should be into your tapering phase now. It's no use tiring yourself out by doing more long distance runs and trying to increase your fitness and efforts. Because simply put, you won't be able to and will only risk injury, as most experienced runners know.

Here's a useful tapering plan, for one week before your marathon race.

And if you are an experienced runner, how do you yourself, taper for a marathon? What training techniques do you use to ensure that you arrive at the starting line, eager and fresh, without feeing lethargic? Do share your thoughts, comments and opinions here, as everyone will love to learn from you too. :)
