What time does it start and end?
Start - 12am midnight on 11 March 2012 Sunday

How is the Twilight Ultra Challenge being conducted?

It will be a 10km loop on a footpath, where you are free to do as many loops as you wish. There will be checkpoint officials at every 2.5km, 7.5km & 10km to help keep track of the distance and the number of 10km loops you have completed.

If you are part of a team, it is up to your team to determine/plan how to rotate each 10km loop.
For example, you may:
1.Run in a relay format (take turns to run a lap each or as many laps as you like before handing over to the next team mate)
2.Run together for selected laps (to motivate each other especially in the wee hours of the night)
3.Combination of both 1 & 3

We will record the distance clocked by everyone in your team, based on your individual bib number.
The e-certificates for each member of a team will indicate both:
1.Individual Distance (distance clocked by the individual); and
2.Team Distance (total distance clocked by the team)

Why do loops?
By creating the 10km loop on the same footpath, we endeavour to provide a memorable experience for all participants by maximising opportunities of being able to encourage & motivate your friends and fellow participants as you pass by each other. Seeing each other on the course will spur you on to bring out the best in you and brighten up the twilight.

What kind of support will I get?

There will be support stations located at each 2.5km, 5km, 7.5km & 10km, stocked with water, isotonic drinks, bananas, muscle spray.

Watermelon will be provided at the end of each loop at the 10km/Finish support station

These support stations will remain open till 4pm on 11 March 2012 Sunday.

Professional Ambulance service will provide safety/first aid/emergency coverage throughout the event.

What if I have Special Needs?

You are very special to us. Your Special-Needs items can be placed at the 10km support station where it'll be well taken care of. These items must be packed into your self-provided Special-Needs Bag which will be identified by your bib number written on a piece of tape.

As part of our effort to preserve the environment, we will not be providing such bags for you.

Please limit to event-essential items only as limited space is available. You may consider placing Energy Gels/Bars, Food, Drinks, Sunglasses, Cap, body lubricant, socks, etc..

You may retrieve/re-deposit your Special-Needs Bag anytime you pass by the 10km support station. Any Special Needs Bag not claimed by 6pm on 11 March 2012 Sunday will be disposed off.

Bring Your Own Bottle (BYOB)

As part of our efforts to preserve the environment through the reduction in usage of cups, we highly encourage participants to bring your own bottle(s) (BYOB) for hydration purpose. These bottles will be placed at the 10km support station. You may deposit up to 2 water bottles (1 for isotonic, 1 for plain water). Your bottle(s) will be marked with your name, bib number and type of drink so we know what type of liquid to fill your bottle with.

There will be cups available at other support stations along the route.

Any bottles not claimed by 6pm on 11 March 2012 Sunday will be disposed off.

Bag Deposit Facility

We will provide complimentary bag deposit facility for your personal bag. A tape will be attached to your bag marked with your bib number. You may retrieve your bag at any point during the event by simply showing your bib to the bag deposit volunteer. Any bags not claimed by 6pm on 11 March 2012 Sunday will be disposed off. Do refrain from placing valuables inside your bag as we will not be held responsible for any loss and/or damage to your items.

As the event will be conducted in low light condition, we highly recommend you wear bright coloured clothes with reflective material to enhance your visibility to others.
