Agree. We all know the good effects of water in the body aside from flushing out toxins and keep the system hydrated. Exercise and diet are important ingredients in losing weight not just about water. Water helps sustain hunger pangs aside from nuts. Good info.

I agree, water can help you feel fuller and it doesn't contain any calories. If people drink more water, they might cut back on the amount of food they eat. I personally take a bottle of water with me everywhere I go. I rarely leave home without a bottle of water just in case I'm thirsty. I think I get in the required amount per day.

I drink quite a lot of water- I go through about 4-5 pitchers a day, I just refill them as I finish them and keep one next to my computer at my desk and sip all day. I think it does help with weight loss- there was a study that showed people who drank a glass of water before each meal consumed less calories overall at each meal.

I don't know if it's just in my culture but my late grandmother who took care of me after I gave birth to my second child prohibited me from drinking water while I was in my confinement period. She said my stomach will get bloated and I won't slim down after my pregnancy. I think she's talking about water retention which was not a condition that I was suffering from. She absolutely prohibited me from drinking water. But now I know better and I drink plenty of water every day. In fact, it's what I drink first thing in the morning.

For odd reason, drinking water helped me gain weight than lose 'em. >.< I started a habit of drinking 1.5liter of water daily and I noticed I started gaining weight. Well I guess, the keyword there is "sensible eating and exercise". I stopped doing exercise routines lately when I started working. I'm slowly starting anew with my exercise routine. :D Hopefully I won't be discouraged early.
