Hey,

The Clubfit is closing for renovation, what a bitch.
Anyone knows of a decently priced private gym membership I can take up in the North region of Singapore? Information on place and price would be welly accepted! :)

And another burning question:
What type of weight training should be incorporated to Speed(interval) training for optimal weight loss?

Thanks!

I don't know of many private gyms up north, but I'll try to answer your second question.

Optimal weight loss imo, would equate to losing fat whilst maintaining as much muscle mass as possible.

The best way for that to happen would be to incorporate a weight lifting routine with heavy weights and low volume focusing on compounds (eg. squats, deadlifts, presses, pull/chin ups) while eating at a caloric deficit with sufficient protein (1g/lb bw).

What a place to open the topic... haha. Try SAFRA. The rates aren't that bad for a decent gym if you ask me (membership-wise).

As for weight lifting, short and intense will do - 45 minutes of stuff like 5 x 5. Diet is 90% - make or break. Make a conscious effort to keep track of what and how you eat because it'll definitely help you lose weight than interval training or any other protocol.

check out this thread, http://gymkaki.com/threads/map-of-private-gyms-in-singapore.387/

try double left click the map to zoom in, and double right click to zoom out...

for the yishun area, it seems like this 2 are the closest alternatives....

Longevity Village Fitness Centre
and
Safra Yishun Country Club
